Graduate student in European Economic Governance Masters degree and History & Politics Bachelor’s degree by Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. I have a strong interest analyzing institutional dynamics, the design of public policies, and the role of democracy in today’s world. In the future, I want to apply that interest into initiatives that promote greater European federalization and integration. I am eager to put my academic knowledge into practice while meeting new people from different European cultures. As I come from a rural area, in a depopulated region of Spain, I consider these kinds of events particularly meaningful. I want to meet new young people committed to Europe’s future, exchange ideas and proposals, and learn from different perspectives and experiences. Of course, enjoying a great time with them in Cadiz!

Hello! My name is Emily, I’m 20 years old and I am Czech-French, currently living in Prague. I’m starting my second year of university this fall, studying Charles University’s Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) program. In my second year of high school I began participating in, and eventually also organizing European Parliament simulations, thanks to which I first started learning about EU politics and decision-making processes. Since then, I’ve become an ambassador for the Czech EU Youth Dialogue, an organizer of the Prague Student Summit, where I teach high school students about international institutions, and a political content creator for the Czech platform Politika nejen pro mladé (politika\_nejen\_pro\_mlade). Besides that, I also love coffee, reading and ballroom dancing, and I’m really looking forward to meeting and getting to know the other forum participants!

I am Lucas R. Kowalski, a robotics Engineering student. I come from Galicia, but I live and study in Madrid. I have always been interested in law, politics, and geopolitics, taking part in many MUNs, simulations and attending every conference I could. The duality of my interests make some debates fall closer to home (Data protection, the idea of a free internet, IA…), but I love talking and learning about every topic. I am currently working with a small team on a civic platform to inform citizens on what is happening on the Spanish Congress and allowing them to make their opinions heard and I am currently starting another project aimed at developing a new, and free (both free source and free of charge) MUN manager. This is my first year being part of JEF, but I have known I am a federalist for some time. I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

Apart from my involvement in societal and political topics, I like to cycle and exercise, and also love any and all chances that involve meeting new people and trying out new things. I am convinced that we need a strong Europe not only to deal with challenges and crises but also to unfold the great potential the people living here have, which is why I think connecting with all of you at the Ventotene Forum will be a great chance!

I’m Sacha, 19, somewhere between a Law and Political Science degree and a low-key obsession with Europe. Ended up doing EU policy stuff in Brussels and co-founding a philosophy platform, no big plan, just kept saying yes to things that sounded interesting. Not officially JEF yet, but nobody’s fooled, it’s happening eventually. See you in Cádiz, where my Spanish is limited to «gracias» and mildly aggressive hand gestures.

I joined JEF two years ago, alongside my long-standing engagement in local politics in my home region of Südbaden, where I currently serve as a local councillor in Teningen and hold several party positions at the district level. Political participation has been a core part of my life since I was a teenager, and I’m especially interested in how young people can shape local and European democracy from the ground up. The geographical setting of my home region, right on the border with France and Switzerland, deepened my interest in international affairs from a very young age, which is one of many reasons I now aspire to become a diplomat or to work in international affairs in the future. Beyond politics, I’m drawn to questions of fiscal justice and gender equality through my work with the Fiscal Feminist Hub. I’m looking forward to Cádiz as a chance to connect with other young Europeans, exchange ideas across our different political and cultural backgrounds, and think together about what a more federal Europe could look like.

My name is Ben Armitage; I am a second- year International Relations and Politics student at Liverpool John Moores’ University. Being from England, I of course hail from a place which has had an interesting political history with Europe in recent years. I still believe, however, that despite Brexit, the UK will play an integral role in Europe’s future going forwards. It is for this reason that I co-founded the European Affairs society at my university, which works in tandem with a nationwide network of likeminded groups sponsored by the EU Delegation to the UK. It is our collective mission to make the case for closer EU-UK relations, with a defined focus on fostering this connection at the youth level. I look forwards to attending the Forum and sharing my non-EU, yet still very European, perspective on the discussions throughout the Forum.

BIOGRAPHY
I’m Alessandra, 28-year-old Italian who’s built her life around the values of inclusion and plurality. I’m curious by nature, passionate about people and intercultural exchange, and always looking for opportunities to learn, question what I take for granted and connect the dots between different worlds. Fascinated by what happens when people from different backgrounds meet, share ideas and are given a common goal: somehow, a community always seems to emerge. My experiences taught me that some of the most meaningful conversations can start between complete strangers, and that getting out of our comfort zone is often where we discover new perspectives — about others, Europe and ourselves.

Cześć/Hey! I’m Dastin, and I come from Poland. I live in a small village near Opole.
As a member of the board of BJDM (Bund der Jugend der Deutschen Minderheit – a young group of the German minority in Poland) I will be happy to join and see you at the official Ventotene Forum 2026!
As I grew up, my family speaked on silesian (a mixed language of: polish, german and czech used in the land of Silesia), then I learned german pretty natural by watching TV and by speaking with my family and finally I learned perfected my polish in kindergarten.
English also came naturally as I grew up.
Being part of BJDM and SKGD (Die Sozial-Kulturelle Gesellschaft der Deutschen im Oppelner Schlesien – a group of the Germans in Opole Silesia) is part of my identity, as I had a natural connection with the german language since a child. Now I find myself as a member of the board and try to be more active and bring ideas to life.
What I do beside that?
I’m a financial advisor/planner who works with people who want to change their financial life for the better. My motto is «I make people rich in a safe, controlled, and ethical way». I love my job, but please don’t ask me what to invest in. That question I won’t answer, not knowing your situation, because I don’t want anyone to make decisions based only on my opinion.
I love many things, but at this point I focus mostly on my family, health, helping others and being happy.
Topics that I love are: psychology, skydiving, technology/cars, architecture, finances and investing, healthy lifestyle, books, sports, food, and many more. I’m almost sure that I can talk about most of the common topics and we’ll find common ground (or not, and I’ll happily discuss and learn opinions different than mine.

BIOGRAPHY
I’m a Spanish lawyer passionate about the creations of the mind (IP) and European affairs. I have always been interested in understanding how things work, in particular in how innovation and technological progress can help us make them better.
This interest has naturally shaped the path I have followed, taking me through different academic and professional environments, including European institutions and the financial sector. Being exposed to different areas and ways of working has made me increasingly aware of how much institutions matter, but also of how important it is for people to remain engaged with them. For that reason, I am particularly interested in civil society and in the role that citizens can play in questioning existing approaches, bringing new perspectives and contributing to the continuous improvement of our societies. Beyond my professional interests, I’m a very curious person and I enjoy anything that allows me to discover something new. I love travelling, learning languages, reading and doing sports, but what I value most is the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and learn how they see the world. I think that being exposed to different cultures, experiences and points of view helps us understand both what makes us different and what we have in common. This is also a large part of what Europe means to me: a space where different identities and experiences can coexist, challenge one another and ultimately contribute to building something better together.
